ABOUT THE SILENT CAPTURES
Two perspectives.
One quiet story.
The Silent Captures is a shared space created by Nazrul and Grace —
two people learning to notice, appreciate and preserve the moments
that make us stop and look a little closer.
I’m Nazrul.
A new photographer learning to slow down, look closer, and keep
the moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
I started The Silent Captures as a place to collect those
observations — light through a window, a quiet landscape, a
fleeting encounter in nature, or something ordinary that
suddenly feels worth remembering.
This is a growing body of work. I’m still learning, experimenting
and discovering what I want my photographs to say. For now, the
idea is simple: some moments are better captured than explained.
I’m Grace.
Photography has become a quiet hobby of mine, one that has brought
me comfort in many ways. Catching the small things that catch my
eye, or even moments I feel that are worth remembering, has become
something I genuinely enjoy.
My dog, Akela, has been my sweet companion over the years and has
helped remind me to slow down and appreciate the little things.
Photography is one of those things. Being able to take a deep
breath and take a moment to appreciate the things around me has
become something I truly cherish.
So being able to share my work alongside Nazrul, and inspire
others along that journey, brings me just as much joy. I’m still
learning and growing with every photo I take, and I’m excited to
see where that journey takes me.
